A roofing inspection assesses the condition of a roof and its associated elements — coverings, flashings, rainwater goods, verges and, where accessible, the roof structure — and reports the defects and the works needed.
It is a standalone job for roofing contractors, surveyors and managing agents, and like every condition inspection the write-up is where the time goes.

What a roofing report covers
Coverings and their remaining life, flashings and abutments, rainwater goods, ridge and verge details, and any signs of movement or water ingress — each with photographs and a clear statement of the works required and their priority.
